Former 49ers Quarterback Alex Smith Lists Monte Sereno Home for $3.999M

An estate befitting a top professional athlete can now be yours.

Former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Alex Smith has listed his Monte Sereno mansion for sale.

Smith, who now plays for the Kansas City Chiefs, is asking $3.999 million for the 4,650-square-foot, four bedroom, four and a half bathroom French villa, which was built in 2010 and outfitted with 100-year-old reclaimed white oak wood interior beams.

Amenities include two courtyards, a professional bocce ball court and a large, flat backyard with plans for a pool and outdoor kitchen.

It would appear that Smith isn't trying to make a huge real estate profit with this potential sale.

San Jose Mercury News reported that public records show Smith purchased the property in 2011 for $3,627,500.
