Foster City Police arrested an 18-year-old man for residential burglary early Saturday morning, and is now facing charges of burglary, peeping and sexual battery.
Neighbors are concerned, after Justin Shing, bailed out of jail Wednesday night, and are holding a community meeting at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Shing did not respond to a request for comment when approached by NBC Bay Area on Wednesday night.
Shing, a recent graduate of San Mateo High School, was originally stopped by a father on Matsonia Drive after he was found on the floor in the bedroom of a 9-year-old girl, police said. The girl's father found the suspect on his hands and knees and detained him until police arrived.
Police later determined it was allegedly not Shing's first crime.
On Aug. 14, police suspect Shing of entering the bedroom of a 17-year-old former classmate, pulling back her comforter and performing some sexual acts in front of her.
Shing lives in the same neighborhood where both crimes happened, and was released on $100,000 bond Wednesday night.
One woman told NBC Bay Area she can't sleep knowing that the suspect is free and back in his home down the street.
A neighborhood watch meeting to discuss the incidents is scheduled for Thursday at 7:30 p.m., at the end of the 700 block of Matsonia Drive. The Foster City police chief is expected to attend.
