Fourth Sexual Assault Reported at Walnut Creek Apartments

A fourth woman has been sexually assaulted at the same Walnut Creek apartment complex where three similar attacks have happened since June.

A man forced his way into a 27-year-old woman's residence at the Park Regency Apartments as she opened the door, then ran away after sexually assaulting the woman, police said.

The attacker is described as white, 20-30 years old, about 6 feet tall with a full beard. He was wearing jeans, a short-sleeved shirt and a hoodie sweatshirt.

A 22-year-old Berkeley man has pleaded not guilty to three previous sex assaults at the same complex. Police say the latest attack is not are not connected to the earlier incidents.

Prosecutors say DNA evidence links Antonio Mouton to the July 6 rape of a woman who lives at the complex. He is also accused of attempting to rape women in two separate incidents on June 30 and Aug. 10.

Mouton's family says he was not in the area during the attacks and has been falsely accused.
