Fremont Bank Robbery Suspect Seen on Surveillance Video

Fremont police have released photos of a woman who robbed a credit union in the city last week.

The suspect walked into the Patelco Credit Union in the 5100 block of Mowry Avenue at about 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, according to Fremont police.

The woman approached a teller and demanded cash, police said. No one was injured and no weapon was seen.

The suspect then quickly walked out of the bank with the cash and fled in an unknown direction, police said.

Police have released images of the suspect captured by the bank's surveillance cameras in an effort to identify her.

She was described as Asian or Pacific Islander, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and roughly 170 pounds. She was wearing large sunglasses, a white T-shirt, blue sweatpants, blue boxers and red-and-white shoes.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to contact Fremont police Detective Travis MacDonald at (510) 790-6900.
