A 56-year-old man remains unconscious and in critical condition following last week's hit-and-run in Fremont.
Police on Thursday said they are still searching for the suspect, who was driving a Toyota Camry.
The incident was reported at 5:42 a.m. on Aug. 8 when John Vigdal, who was riding a bicycle and on his way to work at Optovue, was struck by a black or dark-colored Camry. The collision occurred on Fremont Boulevard, south of Old Warm Springs Boulevard.
Vigdal suffered a major head injury, broken ribs, a broken clavicle and several abrasions, officials said.
Police do not have a description of the driver, but said the Camry is a 1992 to 1996 model. The car also has damage to the right front bumper area.
The little information police to go on in the case has frustrated Vigdal's family.

"The biggest mistake was that somebody left," said his daughter, Alexis Vigdal Fernandez. "You have a responsibility to other humans around you to be a good human being and somebody decided they didn't have to abide by that rule."
A $10,000 reward is in place for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
