Frontier Airlines is offering five new flight routes from Mineta San Jose International Airport starting this week, airport officials said.
New service to Austin, Texas, and Cincinnati started Sunday, flights to Atlanta and San Antonio, Texas, start today and flights to Tulsa, Oklahoma, start Wednesday.
The new flights on Frontier, which had two existing flights out of San Jose, will have fares as low as $69 during the first week.
"We are thankful to Frontier Airlines for responding to Silicon Valley travelers' requests for ultra-low-cost fares and more in-demand destinations," the airport's director of aviation John Aitken said in a statement.
More information about the flights can be found on the airline's website at www.flyfrontier.com.
