The San Francisco Giants in a statement Monday said that Giants' manager Bruce Bochy was admitted to the University of Miami Hospital Sunday night after feeling ill.
Bochy is being checked at the hospital and will be monitored overnight. "He is resting comfortably and is expected to return tomorrow," the statement said.
Bench coach Ron Wotus will serve as manager Monday night for the Giants.
Last year, Bochy was admitted to a hospital while on tour in Arizona after he experienced some discomfort with his heart. Doctors performed a medical procedure to insert two stints.
