Girls' Soccer Coach Caught With Child Porn: Cops

The head coach of an East Bay youth soccer team was arrested Thursday afternoon and locked up in Santa Rita Jail in Dublin on suspicion of the possession and distribution of child pornography after police detectives discovered the lewd material on his computer.

Police arrested 45-year-old David Garrison of Livermore after a three-month investigation. He's charged with possessing and distributing child pornography.

During a preliminary examination of Garrison's computer, detectives found several graphic child pornography images, police said. So far, the pornography on Garrison's computer does not appear to depict local kids, investigators say.

Garrison coached 9-year-old girls in the Livermore youth soccer league. Neighbors didn't want to go on camera, but, they say, the tight-knit community is stunned.

Police encourage anyone with information about the case to contact the department's Sgt. Paul Mayer at 925-371-4733.
