Siblings Accused of Hacking Sister-in-Law's Hair

A family feud ended in a cutting of the hair -- or did it?

A family feud is now a legal matter -- all over hair.

Three siblings accused of hacking off their sister-in-law's hair over an issue of respect are on trial in San Rafael.

Chau Nguyen, 40, Hong Nguyen, 34, and Thao Nguyen, 30, allegedly paid a visit to Pha Nguyen in September 2012 in which they cut off part of Pha's hair with scissors, according to the Marin Independent Journal.

According to prosecutors, the brother and two sisters were angry with Pha for "offend[ing] the family matriarch, My Le Pham," the newspaper reported.

The trial jury is faced with untangling a family drama -- and they've "got to figure out" who's lying, according to a defense attorney.

Chau Nguyen has been in custody for using cocaine while on probation -- everyone else is free, the newspaper reported.
