A half-acre fire shut down northbound lanes on Highway 17 on Monday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the lanes were blocked to make room for fire and emergency crews responding to the blaze, which was spreading slowly near Summit Road.
Vehicles were able to get through by using turn lanes, officers said.
Further details were not immediately available.
