    Heat Knocks Out Power to Thousands in Danville
    City of Danville

    Officials with the town of Danville say that roughly 3,500 residents have lost electrical service late Wednesday afternoon.

    PG&E crews are en route, Danville officials said, but as of 5 p.m. there was no estimate for when power would be restored.

    Preliminary information about the cause of the outage indicated it was heat related, the city said.
