After Nevada Victory, Hillary Clinton Returns to Bay Area

Fresh off her win in the Nevada caucuses, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton touched down in the Bay Area Sunday for three separate events with prominent donors of the Democratic Party.

The events, which were closed to the press, offered Clinton’s supporters the chance to hob knob and hear her presidential plans in person.

A two-hour “Conversation with Hillary Clinton” carried a $2700 price tag – the maximum campaign contribution a person can make. Democratic Senator Barbara Boxer joined the shin dig, which was hosted in Piedmont.

The second event was hosted in Atherton for “young leaders and women,” according to an invite. Attendees under 35 paid $500 a ticket, while other prices ranged from $1000 - $2700.

Afterwards, Clinton was scheduled to attend an evening “Conversation with Hillary” in Menlo Park.

Many there were excited to see Clinton.

"I think she can get things done," said Kiley Dell'Amico, a young Clinton supporter. "I know he has a ruthless reputation, but I don't want somebody to be my friend. I want someone who'll get things done."

All told, these visits illustrate Clinton's added effort to sway young voters, many of whom tend to favor Bernie Sanders 6:1.

Despite her troubles with millenials, however, NBC Bay Area's political contributor Larry Gerston thinks things will be looking up for the presidential hopeful as she enters southern states.

"There are 11 southern primaries in the coming days," he said. "Many voters there are loyal to the Clintons."

Clinton has been a frequent visitor to the Bay Area since announcing her presidential campaign, including stops in January and in November.
