Hundreds March in Oakland for Trayvon Martin, Oscar Grant

Hundreds of people upset over the verdict in the Trayvon Martin case rallied in Oakland Friday night.

The protesters say the outcome of the case is a pattern of police targeting young black men. Those who spoke at the rally called for a peaceful demonstration.

Protests over the past week have eneded in violence and vandalism.

Oakland police was out in full force, sending every available officer on duty to monitor Friday's protest and to make sure it did not get out of hand.

More protests are planned for Saturday, and Oakland police say they are using every strategy they can think of to keep the city safe.
