It's the question the Internet and social media is buzzing about: Did KD stare down Ri-Ri after splashing in a trey?
The alleged incident came Thursday toward the end of Game 1 of the NBA Finals between the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers. That's when Warriors all star Kevin Durant drained a three-pointer and looked toward the Oracle Arena courtside crowd where pop star Rihanna was sitting.
Sure, the Dubs ended up winning the game with Durant playing a major part to the tune of 38 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. But we should probably consider adding the possible Ri-Ri stare down to KD's official stat line based on how social media exploded after the incident.
When asked about the incident during a post-game presser, KD said: "I don't even remember that."
Steph Curry, who also sparked the Dubs in the Game 1 win and was sitting near Durant at the presser, dished out another assist by telling his teammate "Don't get in that trap."
The advice drew a laugh from the media, with KD following up with "I'm cool. Have fun with that."
We haven't seen anything from Rihanna chiming in on the so-called stare down.
But if Game 1 is any indication for the rest of the NBA Finals, the pop star best grab an umbrella-ella-ella. KD appears to be on a mission to make it rain with buckets and do work, work, work, work, work.
Game 2 of the NBA Finals is scheduled for 6 p.m. Sunday at Oracle Arena.
