City officials will force the closure of a Berkeley medical marijuana dispensary that violates state and local zoning laws, according to reports.
Perfect Plants Patient Group, also known as 3PG, is located at Sacramento and Oregon streets within 600 feet of a school, according to InsideBayArea.com. That breaks the law.
3PG also has no business license to sell medical marijuana, the newspaper reported; the business has instead a certificate for a "retail clothing establishment," the newspaper reported
Terry Carver, one of the dispensary's operators, said that he'd hired a surveyor who told him the dispensary was 619 feet away from the nearest school; city staff say it's 546 feet away, the newspaper reported.
The city is drafting a resolution that identifies specific code violations and will vote to pass it on Nov. 27, the newspaper reported.
