Infineon Raceway Attempts to Break Guinness Record for Donuts

Bay Area drivers are being called to participate in the event.

Calling all drifters: Infineon Raceway wants you to help break a world record.

The Sonoma racetrack will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the most cars performing donuts simultaneously next Tuesday and it needs your help.

Infineon is asking drivers interested in bringing their own cars to participate in the world record attempt to register online and show up at 2 p.m. next Tuesday at 29355 Arnold Dr. in Sonoma.

There are of course a few rules. All drivers must register in advance of the event, every car is required to have a seat belt and a muffler.

Registration for the event is free.

Organizers of the record attempt say they will try to beat a mark set in Queensland, Australia in 2010 where 57 cars did donuts at the same time.
