Kidnapping, Assault Reported in Oakland

The Oakland Police Department has released information regarding a kidnapping, robbery and sexual assault that occurred on August 18, 2012 at approximately 3:00 a.m.

The Oakland Police Department has released information regarding a kidnapping, robbery and sexual assault that occurred on August 18, 2012 at approximately 3:00 a.m. The incident took place in the area of E. 9th Street and 29th Ave.

The victim is a 25-year-old female, who reported she was approached at a stop sign, where a suspect entered her vehicle, took her cell phone and handed it to another suspect outside the car.

Suspect 1 directed the victim to an isolated location nearby, where he sexually assaulted the victim inside the car. He then fled the scene.

This suspect is described as a male Hispanic, 22-24 years old, 180 lbs, medium complexion, and clean shaven. He was wearing a red T-shirt with black writing and blue jeans.

There is no description of the second suspect.
