Law Enforcement Officials Patrolling in Full Force During Labor Day Holiday

As Bay Area residents hit the roadways for one last weekend of summer fun, law enforcement officials are preparing to be out in full force.

Beginning at 6 p.m. Friday evening and lasting until Monday night, California Highway Patrol units will be looking for distracted and drunk drivers.

32 were killed nationwide during last year's Labor Day holiday weekend. Five of those fatal accidents happened in the Bay Area, according to the California Highway Patrol.
