Lawsuit Could Delay Start of America's Cup Finals

A new lawsuit could delay the start of the America's Cup finals.

The suit filed by the head of the African Diaspora Maritime sailing team claims that the Golden Gate Yacht Club did not act in good faith when it rejected the team's application back in 2011.

The non-profit firm based in North Carolina trains young African-Americans to be competitive sailors.

The group is seeking an injunction to delay the event, scheduled to start in September.

The Golden Gate Yacht Club says it is confident the cup will go on as planned.

The two sides are expected to meet with A New York judge Wednesday to determine if there will be a hearing.
