Could a shooting outside a troubled bar in San Jose force it to shut down immediately?
El Tarasco on North 13th Street has been in business for years. But after a security guard was shot outside the bar four times on Friday night, a lot of people want this bar closed down, and San Jose City Councilman Sam Liccardo is working with the city attorney’s office to shut the bar down immediately.
“What we really want is an injunction to shut down the bar right away,” Liccardo said. “We believe this latest incident will be enough ammunition to get the bar to shut down.”
NBC Bay Area reached out to El Tarasco’s owners for a comment but received no response.
