A 48-year old Livermore tax auditor -- and convicted sex offender -- was charged Monday with molesting a 9-year old boy, according to police.
Timothy Rodriguez -- who was convicted in 1989 of child molestation in Fremont -- was arrested at his home in the 1200 block of Higuera Court, according to the Contra Costa Times.
He was booked into jail at 5:08 a.m. on felony "continuous sexual abuse on a child under 14," and was charged with a second felony for possessing a .22-caliber rifle, the newspaper reported.
The boy, who was not identified, was supposedly known to Rodriguez through his mother, who the now defendant knew, the newspaper reported.
He met his first victim via a church group where he volunteered, the newspaper reported.
