M2.9 Earthquake Shakes East of San Jose: USGS

A 2.9 magnitude earthquake struck about 21 miles east of downtown San Jose on Monday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The temblor struck at about 3:35 p.m. and had a depth of about 3.7 miles, the USGS said. 

Further information was not immediately available.
