Man Arrested for “Sexual in Nature” Comments to Boys: Palo Alto Police

A 64-year-old man who was annoying children at a church as been arrested after allegedly making “comments of a sexual nature” to a group of four boys, Palo Alto police said.

Kenneth Edward Schwartz of Burlingame was arrested on one count of annoying children, a misdemeanor, police said.

He was spotted Feb. 19 at All Saints Episcopal Church at 555 Waverley Street by a church employee who was sitting on the bench in the courtyard and making what she thought were inappropriate comments to some boys. Schwartz did not make any physical contact with the boys, police said.

Detectives have since received information that Schwartz may also have made inappropriate sexual comments to a group of middle school girls at the event as well. That portion of the investigation is continuing, police said.
