Man Arrested in Connection to San Francisco Storage Burglary

A San Francisco man has been arrested in connection with a burglary at a storage facility in the city's South of Market neighborhood last month, according to police.

The suspect, 46-year-old Lamont Jackson, is suspected of breaking into the storage facility in the 1400 block of Folsom Street early on the morning of Sept. 21.

According to police, a passerby told police that the front doors of the storage facility appeared to be damaged. Police said officers who entered the building interrupted Jackson as he was carrying out items from one of 20 storage units he had allegedly broken into.

Jackson was booked into San Francisco County Jail on suspicion of 20 counts of burglary and violating his probation.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call police at (415) 575-4444 or to text TIP411 and to start the message with "SFPD."
