A man who caused a disturbance outside a McDonald's in Hayward on Monday night later died in police custody, according to reports.
The man, 33, has not been identified by name, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
He was causing a disturbance in front of the McDonald's at 23989 Watkins Street in Hayward at 10:55 p.m. Monday, the newspaper reported.
He had an outstanding warrant and was taken into custody, then "experienced a medical emergency" while in jail, police said.
He died at St. Rose Hospital a short time later, the newspaper reported.
No cause of death is immediately known, but "no Tasers or other weapons were used to subdue the man," the newspaper reported.
