Man Dies in Hit-and-Run in San Jose: Police

A man was killed early Sunday morning in a hit-and-run in San Jose, according to the San Jose Police Department.

Officers responded about 12:55 a.m. to a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle in the area of East Capitol Expressway and Tully Road. The victim, identified only as an adult male, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The suspect was identified and arrested after a follow-up investigation by patrol officers, police said.

No further details about the suspect or victim were available.

It was the city's 30th fatal collision of the year, police said.
