A man was killed in San Jose Wednesday morning, making him the 46th traffic fatality of the year.
San Jose Police Sgt. Enrique Garcia said the man was killed just before 6 a.m. along the northbound Monterey Rd. on-ramp to eastbound Capitol Expressway where he had been walking before being struck by a grey Ford Focus.
The man was taken to a hospital where he died, police said. The Ford driver cooperated and was not arrested.
