Man Pleads Guilty to Having Sex With 7 Underage Girls, Impregnating 4

A 20-year-old Madera man pleaded guilty in a Salinas courtroom Thursday to several criminal counts related to his sexual relationships with seven underage girls, according to the Monterey County District Attorney's Office.

Angel Vasquez pleaded guilty to eight counts of unlawful sex with a minor, one count of oral copulation with a minor and one count of violating a court order, according to prosecutors.

Between 2017 and 2018, prosecutors say Vasquez had sex with the girls, who were between the ages of 14 and 15 while he was 18 and 19 years old.

Four of the girls became pregnant and three had miscarriages, according to district attorney's officials.

Also, even after Monterey County Superior Court Judge Mark Hood ordered him to stay away from the victims, Vasquez continued to contact three of them.

Vasquez faces up to four years and four months in prison when he's sentenced on July 18 and he will have to register as a sex offender.
