San Jose police shut down a portion of the busy and heavily populated Almaden Expressway temporarily while officers investigated a shooting late Monday night.
The shooting was reported at 10:42 p.m. in the 5700 block of Via Monte Drive . When they got they arrived, San Jose Police Officer Albert Morales said a man was suffering from at least one gun shot wound. He was taken to a hospital.
Police said they don't have a motive for the shooting, and no suspects have been identified.
Preliminary investigation revealed the shooting may have occurred on Almaden Expressway near Highway 85.
