Man Shot in Mission District

A person was shot this afternoon in San Francisco's Mission District, a police spokesman said.

The shooting was reported at about 3:20 p.m. near Harrison and 24th streets, police spokesman Officer Gordon Shyy said.

Fire department spokeswoman Mindy Talmadge said the victim, a male, was transported to San Francisco General Hospital for treatment.
