Man Shot in San Francisco on Saturday Identified

Gaines was driving a black four-door car near Fillmore and Geary around 5:30 p.m. when someone shot at him numerous times, Officer Gordon Shyy said.

A San Francisco man who was fatally shot on Saturday in the city's Alamo Square neighborhood has been identified as 26-year-old Jamal Gaines, according to the medical examiner's office.

Gaines was driving a black four-door car near Fillmore and Geary around 5:30 p.m. when someone shot at him numerous times,  Officer Gordon Shyy said.

Gaine's car then crashed into a nearby parked car, and the person who had fired at him got into a car and fled.

Gaines was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, where he died around 6:15 p.m.

No one has been arrested, according to police.
