Man Throws Liquid on Cashier's Face, Robs Market

The man also allegedly stabbed another person with scissors.

An 54-year-old man nearly made out with cash after dousing a woman in a store with an unknown chemical.

John Ellis reportedly tried to rob a market in the 1400 block of Polk Street in the Nob Hill neighborhood of San Francisco when he threw a chemical on a woman cashier's face and ran off with the money.

The woman reportedly screamed in pain as the man ran out the store.

The 53-year-old manager of the store tried to catch the robber but he was unable to. Another 41-year-old man tried to wrestle the man down but he was stabbed the suspect in the chest with scissors.

Officers found the man at Polk and Clay streets and arrested him. The victims were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
