Man With California Ties Kidnaps Mom: FBI

The FBI is asking for the public’s helping in locating a man and his elderly mother following her disappearance.

Investigators say Marshall McMains Goldberg kidnapped his mother from her home in Ashland, Oregon nearly two months ago. The FBI said there has been an appropriate amount of time now to release the information on a wider basis. They also note a recent federal warrant that was issued in the case. Doris Goldberg, 85, is considered to be in danger because she suffers from Alzheimer’s Disease and dementia.

Doris Goldberg was living with her other son at the time she disappeared.

Recently, a Washington state grand jury indicted Marshall Goldberg on state charges of kidnapping, custodial interference and contempt of court.

Because local authorities believe Goldberg has fled the state, the FBI obtained a federal fugitive warrant. The FBI says he has ties to the Los Angeles, North Hollywood and Daly City. They said he may have traveled with his mother to one of those locations.

The FBI said Marshall Goldberg may be driving a 1996 gold Oldsmobile four-door sedan with California license plates reading 3SZY023. He previously worked as an unskilled laborer in the film industry.

Anyone with information as to the Marshall or Doris Goldberg’s whereabouts is asked to call 911.
