Masked Men Tried to Rob Woman in Pleasant Hill

Investigators are seeking information about two masked men who tried to rob a woman in Pleasant Hill on Sunday evening.

At about 6:15 p.m. on Sunday a woman was confronted by two men as she sat in her parked vehicle in the 400 block of Maureen Lane, Pleasant Hill police said.

One of the suspects brandished a firearm and told the woman to open her vehicle door, officers said.

Police said the victim refused to open her door and instead called 911.

The victim told police that before the men entered a sedan located nearby one of the suspects fired off a single shot in the direction of the victim's vehicle.

The suspects then fled the area in their vehicle and have not yet been located, according to police.

Both suspects are described as Hispanic men in their 20s. They were wearing dark clothing and masks at the time of the attempted robbery, police said.

Anyone with information about the attempted robbery is urged to contact police at (925) 288-4630.
