Missing Elderly SJ Man Found Dead

Ming Linggong was reported missing Monday and found dead a day later.

San Jose police said Wednesday that the missing 69-year-old man with dementia who was last seen on Monday by his family has been found dead.

Sgt. Jason Dwyer said the body of Meng Linggong, who lives with his family on Parkview Green Circle in San Jose, was found Tuesday about 4:30 p.m. by police helicopter near the Alviso Marina. The cause of death is not known, but police say there is no indication of foul play.

Linggong's cell phone had been found Tuesday about 2:40 a.m. near the Alviso Marina Wildlife Refuge, not  far from where his body was found.

Police said he was last seen  Monday about 8:30 p.m. and suffered from dementia.
