Mom on Muni Attacks Woman, Flees With Kids

A woman on Muni attacked another woman before fleeing, bringing her three kids with her.

An "enraged" woman on Muni attacked a fellow passenger and exited the bus with three children in tow before police could intervene, according to reports.

A bus at 24th and Folsom streets was the scene of the crime last week, according to the Examiner, which reported a police response to the Mission District assault at 5:20 p.m. Thursday. The victim was standing by the bus's rear stairwell when the other passenger became enraged, the newspaper reported.

Shouting, "I need my space," the suspect punched the victim in the head and in the face, stole a bag filled with a mystery "medicine," police said, and then exited the bus with three children trailing behind her, the newspaper reported.

It was not a great day for Muni, as an hour later, on a another bus, a Muni driver was spat upon by an "irate passenger," according to the Examiner.

When police arrived, the passenger spat on them, too. The suspect is in custody on "numerous charges," the newspaper reported.
