More Than 1,000 Without Power in Menlo Park, American Canyon

PG&E crews are working to repair power outages in Menlo Park and American Canyon Sunday afternoon impacting more than 1,000 customers this afternoon, a utility spokesman said.

The Menlo Park outage was reported around 9:30 a.m. and initially impacted 708 customers, PG&E spokesman J.D. Guidi said.

As of about 2 p.m., power was restored to all but 320 customers, who are estimated to have electricity back around 6 p.m., he said.

The American Canyon outage was reported around 1 p.m. and initially impacted 1,250 customers, PG&E spokesman J.D. Guidi said.

As of about 2 p.m., power was restored to 450 customers, he said.

There is no estimated time of when power will be restored to the remaining customers, according to Guidi.

Crews suspect weather played a role, however the causes of the outages are under investigation, Guidi said.
