Runners came from all over the U.S. and 10 different countries.

Runners from all over the world made their way through Oakland Sunday for the 7th annual Oakland Running festival.

Marathoners came from across the U.S and 10 foreign countries. There were several races, including a 5K, a half-marathon and a full marathon. For children, there was also a mini-race set up.

About 10,000 people showed up to the race.

“It’s a blast,” said one runner. “You weave in and out of people that you pass but you get to make a lot of new friends, and meet people along the way.

Since the festival began seven years ago, more than $1.5 million dollars has been raised for local charities.
