Morgan Hill Shooting Suspect May Be Heading to Mexico

Santa Clara County sheriff's deputies are looking for a 33-year-old man who allegedly shot a man in the arm and struck another man in the head with a hammer.

Sgt. Jose Cardoza said deputies are looking for a suspect identified as Mario Calderon who drives a white 1994 Acura Integra, license plate GVDL974. He added that Calderon may be headed to Mexico and is considered armed and dangerous.

He said that shortly after 3 a.m., dispatchers received a 911 call saying that a shooting had occurred at Peebles Avenue and Calle Moniz near Morgan Hill. The caller said a 45-year-old man had been shot in the arm, and a 25-year-old man had been hit in the head with a hammer.

Both victims are expected to survive.
