Fatal Accident With Coca-Cola Truck on I-880 in Oakland

The highway in Oakland was shut down for two hours after a person died in an accident with a Coca-Cola truck, the California Highway reported.

At first the fatality was reported as motorcyclist, but the CHP later said the person might have been a pedestrian. Officers were investigating.

Two lanes of northbound I-880 and the 98th Avenue on-ramp near O.Co Coliseum were shut down and the Alameda County Coroner was called to the scene about 4:20 a.m. All lanes were reopened at 6:15 a.m.
