A motorcyclist died Thursday morning in Palo Alto after a crash with a commercial truck, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The accident was reported about 9:15 a.m. on US HIghway 101 at Embarcadero Road. All lanes were closed as a result.
Earlier, in San Jose, a CHP motorcycle officer suffered minor injuries on Interstate Highway 280 at Winchester Boulevard about 8:40 a.m. on his way to helping out another traffic collision, according to Officer Ross Lee. He was taken to the hospital to check out his injuries, the CHP said.
