Mountain View Officer Saves Choking Toddler's Life

Mountain View Police Officer Curtis Lau saw 2-year-old Eduardo -- pictured with his father -- for the first time Tuesday -- since saving the boy from choking.

Last Monday, the boy's parents frantically called police when their son wasn't acting well. He was staring blankly and not moving. That’s when Lau’s instincts kicked in.

“I turned the baby quickly and laid him on the ground and gave him rescue breaths,” Lau told NBC Bay Area on Wednesday night.

Lau said the boy suddenly blinked and gasped for air. After getting checked at the hospital, Eduardo is now back home recovering.
