Mountain View Power Outage Affecting Thousands of PG&E Customers

Thousands of PG&E customers in Mountain View are without power Thursday morning, a PG&E spokesman said.

A power outage, affecting roughly 8,957 customers, was reported around 6:25 a.m., PG&E spokesman J.D. Guidi said.

The outage is affecting an area including Central Avenue, Rengstroff Avenue, Middlefield Avenue and San Antonio Road, Guidi said. Caltrain ticket stations at the San Antonio station also appear to be without power.

As of about 7:30 a.m., power was restored to all but 3,890 customers, according to Guidi.

PG&E said it expects power to be restored around 9:45 a.m.

The cause of the outage is under investigation, according to Guidi.
