Mr. Magoo Bandit Strikes Again

The robber gained the Mr Magoo title for wearing glasses, having a receding hairline and being a bit chubby.

The bank robber dubbed the "Mr. Magoo Bandit" has struck again, and this time in the Bay Area.

The robber has been linked to a dozen bank robberies throughout California, according to the FBI.

Investigators say he uses a note to demand cash from tellers and, in some instances, has even thanked his victims.

He is much younger than the Mr. Magoo cartoon but he does wear prescription glasses. He's in his 40s, bald with a little short dirty blond hair. Witnesses say he remains calm throughout the robbery.

The man makes no attempt to disguise himself, according to the FBI.

The latest bank robbery happened on Oct. 4, but the FBI would not disclose the location.

Investigators said he robbed a Chase Bank in South San Francisco on Sept 17 and a U.S. Bank in Novato in late August.

Law enforcement thinks he travels up and down the state and may be recognized at motels or gas stations.
