Multiple lanes of eastbound Interstate Highway 80 in Pinole were blocked due to a multiple-vehicle traffic collision on Wednesday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP said the collision was first reported around 10:57 p.m. just east of Pinole Valley Road. The collision jarred a motor block and transmission free from at least one of the vehicles.
The CHP didn't provide any information on injuries.
No further information is immediately available.
