NBC Bay Area has sent reporter George Kiriyama to Japan to bring home the best coverage of the impact of the recent disasters -- impact felt both abroad and at home.
We are teaming up with KNBC to send crews to Japan to cover the aftermath of the quake and tsunami. George will join Conan Nolan and two photographers.
George is a third generation Japanese-American whose family is originally from Western and Southern Japan. George has many contacts inside the Associated Press, Voice of America, Wall Street Journal, and several other media outlets in Japan.
