The Halal Guys, a cult favorite in New York City known for its gyros, chicken and rice and consistent lines, will open a location in San Jose.
According to Eater SF, the San Jose restaurant will be located at The Plant, a shopping center at 81 Curtner Avenue.
The expansion follows previous news that the Halal Guys will open locations at 307 O'Farrell Street in San Francisco and 2126 Center Street in Berkeley. All are expected to debut by this summer.
Halal cooking refers to food that is prepared under Islamic dietary guidelines, something the Bay Area hasn't traditionally had in abundance.
