OPD Make Second Arrest in Toddler Homicide

Boy's death struck a nerve in Oakland.

A second arrest has been made in a high profile homicide case in Oakland that left a three-year-old dead.

The Oakland Police Department announced officers have arrested Willie Torrence in connection with the shooting death of Carlos Nava.

OPD said Torrence was taken into custody in Las Vegas Friday night.

Police said they think Torrence was driving the car that was used in the drive-by shooting that left little Nava dead and two adult males injured.

The men were the targets and the little boy had no connection to them according to police.

Police said Torrence has a prior weapon conviction and was on parole at the time of his arrest.
