A video posted by the Oakland California Highway Patrol over the weekend of their “slowest pursuit ever” – a gaggle of adorable baby geese crossing I-80 near Ashby Avenue in Berkeley – was quickly picked up by the New York Post.
The paper posted the cute video of the “low-speed chase” with the headline, “An adorable gaggle of geese terrorizes Oakland highway.”
The story however, identified the CHP as “the Oakland Police Department.”
“This chilling footage reminds us that goslings are terrifying and will probably take over the world one day (or they're just super-adorable and fun to watch),” the Post said.
The Oakland CHP jumped on the error, and on Wednesday tweeted at the Post: “We're the Highway Patrol! It even says so on our patrol car's door!”
Oh, Oakland CHP, we totally feel ya!
