Police in Oakland said they have arrested a driver who hit and killed a good samaritan who was helping a stranded driver.
The crash happened Friday night on International Boulevard at 22nd Avenue.
Police said 39-year-old Jose Durante of Pittsburg was helping push another driver’s car out of the road when he was struck from behind.
Durante was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The suspect is facing DUI charges and could be charged further.
